Tuberculosis is a communicable disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Transmission inside the home requires special attention because family members share space and interact with patients for long periods. This study analyzed factors associated with family-based tuberculosis prevention in the working area of Maliana Public Health Center, Maliana Regency. A quantitative cross-sectional design was used. The respondents were 92 family members living in the same household as pulmonary tuberculosis patients. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using univariate analysis, the chi-square test, and multiple logistic regression. Knowledge, attitude, household crowding, and income were significantly associated with tuberculosis prevention behavior. In the bivariate analysis, knowledge showed the strongest association (p = 0.001; OR = 4.8). In the multivariate model, knowledge was the dominant factor (p = 0.002; OR = 4.403; 95% CI = 1.721-11.265), followed by attitude and household crowding. These findings show that tuberculosis prevention in the family setting is related to family understanding, attitudes toward health information, housing conditions, and economic capacity. Continuous health education, healthier home environments, and active guidance from health workers are needed to strengthen tuberculosis prevention practices.
