Dysmenorrhea is a common reproductive health problem among adolescent girls and can interfere with daily activities and school participation. Dark chocolate contains magnesium and flavonoids that may promote uterine muscle relaxation and reduce menstrual pain. This study aimed to determine the effect of dark chocolate administration on menstrual pain among adolescent girls at SMAN 1 Tanjung Jabung Barat in 2026. A quasi-experimental two-group pretest-posttest design was used. The population comprised 510 female students, and 40 respondents were selected by stratified random sampling and allocated to an intervention group (n=20) and a control group (n=20). Pain intensity was measured using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analyses with the independent-samples t-test. The mean menstrual pain score decreased from 6.95 before the intervention to 4.53 after the intervention. At posttest, the intervention group had a lower mean pain score than the control group (3.25 vs. 5.80), with p=0.000 (p<0.05). Dark chocolate administration significantly reduced menstrual pain and may be considered a practical non-pharmacological option for adolescent girls.
